The Macon County Sheriff’s Department, Franklin Police Department or Jackson County Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests May 4 - 11. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Macon County Sheriff’s Department

May 5

Melany Ann Burch, 36, of Fred Dalton Rd., was charged with breaking and/or entering, larceny after break/enter. A secured bond of $5,000 was set. Audrey Parrish made the arrest.

May 6

Seth Tyler Shelton, 19, of Village Trace, was charged with assault on a female, probation violation. A secured bond of $2,000 was set. Blake A. Buchanan made the arrest.

Bettie Sue Passmore, 50, of Passmore Rd., was charged with failure to appear. A secured bond of $7,500 was set. Blake A. Buchanan made the arrest.

John Robert Parker, 38, of Don Worley Rd., was charged with failure to appear for larceny, injury to personal property. A secured bond of $1,750 was set. Blake A. Buchanan made the arrest.

May 7

Jerry Lynn Mershimer, 61, of Springfield Church Rd., Grove City, Pa., was charged with domestic violence protective order violation. No bond was set. Audrey Parrish made the arrest.

May 8

Jeffery Shane Roberts, 32, of Hayesville, was charged with failure to appear for breaking and/or entering a motor vehicle, injury to personal property, possession of methamphetamine. A secured bond of $20,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Shaunna Nichole Rivas, 25, of Dendy Orchard Rd., Highlands, was charged with no operators license. An unsecured bond of $500 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Jeremy Edward Stepp, 23, of Wounded Knee, Clyde, was charged with failure to appear for driving under the influence, driving on suspended license. A secured bond of $5,000 was set. Tracy Platt made the arrest.

Mark Daniel Castro, 28, of Glory Ln., was charged with parole and probation violations. A secured bond of $1,000 was set. Matthew W. Bowman made the arrest.

Thomas Richard Adams, 49, of Clarks Chapel Rd., was charged with obscene material/pornography, child molestation non-assaultive. No bond was set. Scott Nelson made the arrest.

Bennie Leon Hurst Jr., 23, of Johnny Stanfield Rd., was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, breaking and/or entering, child abuse. Adam L. Crawford made the arrest.

May 10

Joshua Lawrence Burr, 34, of East Main St., was charged with violation of domestic violence protection order. No bond was set. Matthew W. Bowman made the arrest.

Damian Quin Dulton, 19, of Mountainside Rd., was charged with resist/obstruct/delay. A secured bond of $500 was set. Anthony Hopkins made the arrest.

Clay Alan Lickteig, 52, of Laurel Branch Rd., Hayesville, was charged with reconnect utility. A secured bond of $80,000 was set. Anthony Hopkins made the arrest.

Krystal Downing, 16, of Hatfield Rd., was charged with fraud for obtaining money/property by false pretense, identity theft. A bond of $1,000 was set. Audrey Parrish made the arrest.

Alex Vanlee Hurst, 30, of Kings Rd., was charged with misdemeanor child abuse, assault on a child under 12. A secured bond of $2,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

Willie Eldon Watts, 40, of Horseshoe Ridge, was charged with failure to appear for driving while impaired, flee/elude with a motor vehicle, driving while license revoked not impaired. A secured bond of $7,000 was set. Mike Langley Sr. made the arrest.

May 4

Clay Alan Lickteig, 52, of Woodland Hills Dr., was charged with trafficking opium or heroin. A secured bond of $75,000 was set. Kevin J. Breedlove made the arrest.

Clarence Eugene Hanson, 50, of Mashburn Branch Rd., was charged with failure to appear for failing to return rental property. A secured bond of $500 was set. Jonathan C. Bean made the arrest.

Joshuah Lawrence Burr, 34, of Walnut Creek Rd., was charged with fictitious information, criminal damage to property, vandalism, larceny from a motor vehicle. A secured bond of $10,000 was set. Christy M. Evans made the arrest.

May 4

Robert Allen Hooper, 38, of Keyhole Ln., Cullowhee, was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, larceny of a motor vehicle. No bond was set. Celestine A. Holloman made the arrest.

Kyle Everett Huskey, 21, of Old 4 Road, Cherokee, was charged with failure to appear for driving while license revoked, resist/obstruct/delay. A $3,000 bond was set. Josh A. Yopp made the arrest.

Chad Derrick Cole, 33, of Mauney Cove Rd., Cherokee, was charged with possession of controlled substance in jail, conspiracy, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle - nonforcible, larceny after breaking and entering, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Melissa Joy Daggy, 26, of Thomas Park Dr., Waynesville, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in jail, conspiracy. A $10,000 bond was set. Rollie L. James III made the arrest.

Orin Edward Barnes, 30, of County Line Rd., Andrews, S.C., was charged with carrying a concealed gun, driving while license revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia, possess of marijuana drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz, possession of methamphetamine. A $10,000 bond was set. Samuel G. Page made the arrest.

Gregory Hoyle, 49, of Hwy. US 74, was issued a child support purge order, and was charged with resisting a public officer, assault on a female. No bond was set. William M. Hawkins made the arrest.

Brian Elliott Teesateskie, 39, of Massey Branch Rd., Robbinsville, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. No bond was set. Tyson W. Crawford made the arrest.

Edge Dakoda Fortner, 25, of Birchfield Rd., Bryson City, was charged with no seat belt, unsafe tires,, driving left of center, resist/obstruct/delay, felony flee to elude. A $15,000 bond was set. Andrew J. Parker made the arrest.

Joseph Riley Fennell, 25, of Clara Dr., Dallas, Ga., was charged with resist/obstruct/delay, no seat belt. A $1,500 bond was set. Andrew J. Parker made the arrest.

Brian Ellioet Teesateskie 39, of Annie Bird Rd., Cherokee, was charged with drug paraphernalia, possession of a schedule II controled substance, possession of methamphetamine. A $15,000 bond was set. Megan L. Rhinehart made the arrest.
