Arts & Entertainment Highlands Playhouse offers children’s theater camp

The Highlands Playhouse is gearing up for the return of its annual Children’s Theater camp which runs from July 5- July 16. The two week camp is divided into two age groups; ages 5-10, which meets from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and ages 11 and up which meets from 1PM-4PM. The camp will again be led by Bill Patti and Brieanna Bailey, the theater and dance instructors from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School.

The theater has taken steps to raise the level of education and entertainment for the students enrolled in the program.

“We are making every effort to give the students of the camp an opportunity to learn from all of the theater professionals who work at the Playhouse,” Patti said. “We believe that working with the acclaimed performers, directors, choreographers, musicians, and technicians from around the country will give the camp attendees a deeper understanding and appreciation for theater. Not to mention, it will be a lot of fun!”

The camp culminates in a performance on Saturday, July 16, on the Highlands Playhouse stage.

If you would like to make a reservation for the camp or if you have any questions, call the Highlands Playhouse at (828)526-2695.
