Arts & Entertainment 14th Annual Sweet Corn Festival set for Saturday

Pictured is Wanda Beymer as Buttercup and Bill Crawford, Kernel Corn, preparing for the biggest and best Corn Festival ever.Come celebrate summer at the 14th Annual Sweet Corn Festival on Saturday, July 9, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church located at 216 Roller Mill Road in Franklin.

The day will be filled with lots of great entertainment and delicious food.

Groups like the Dendy Family, Macon County Line Dancers, Patton Valley String Band, Men Macon Music, the dulcimer players and Stan Dogan will perform throughout the festival.

There will be face painting, and fun and games for children will abound.

Visitors are invited to stroll around and check out the booths selling collectibles, plants, and handmade arts and crafts. Y

ou may even want to enjoy a pickup game of Corn Hole and horseshoes.

There’s plenty to do so bring a lawn chair and plan to stay all day.

Admission is free and proceeds from sale of food and crafts will benefit the All Saints Episcopal Community and CareNet.
