Eric HaggartFriday night’s lineup features three great artists. Hoss Howard made a deathbed promise six years ago to his late mother which was the catalyst to Hoss Howard’s country music career. Looking back on the promise he made, and how it changed his life, Hoss says he wouldn’t change it for the world.

“Hoss is a big man with a big heart, an even bigger voice, and the songs he writes; simply amazing,” says Scott Hooger. Hooger is Hoss’s manager, and has watched Hoss grow into a selfless and giving artist that country music can be proud of. A family- oriented, Gulf War veteran, his music is an impressive mixture of traditional country and southern rock. When Hoss is not playing the big shows opening for John Anderson, Diamond Rio, Joe Diffie, 38 Special, Foreigner, The Bellamy Brothers or at a NASCAR Event, he and his band are playing charity events.

Eric Haggart is a favorite local artist, performing current country hits with a personal flair. He has earned a number of country and gospel music awards including the 2010 North American Country Music Association Male Vocalist Award. Haggart has performed at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.; Tootsie’s in Nashville; Branson, Missouri and continues to entertain crowds wherever he performs.

The Dallas Reese Band is from Charlotte, NC and has been entertaining crowds since 1998. Dallas and his band has opened for many major label acts in the past four years. Categorized as high energy, the band performs hits from bands such as The Doobie Brothers, Lynard Skynard, Creedance Clearwater Revival and more.

Keirsten Hedden is a local award winning young lady from right here in Franklin who loves to sing and has a voice that is beyond her years. Luke and Rhonda Bateman will continue Saturday’s entertainment with current country hits. Eric Haggart will close out the musical entertainment for the day.

All this entertainment, a car show, crafters, and the opportunity to register in a cornhole tournament and natural beauty pageant, for only the $5 festival entrance fee. Once inside, the festival attendees will be able to purchase a $5 ticket to enter the Tastin’ Tent where they will be served ten 2-oz. cups of BBQ pork from ten professional cook teams. Everyone will vote for their favorite and that team will be named Franklin’s Finest. Make plans now to come out and enjoy all the Mountain High BBQ Festival and car show has to offer.
