Arts & Entertainment Outdoor rock concert Friday on the square

“Rock the Square,” a Labor Day weekend concert and street dance, will be presented Friday, September 2, at 7:30 p.m., at the Town Square gazebo on Main Street in downtown Franklin, weather permitting.

The award-winning C-Square Band will perform 1950s- ‘70s pop and Motown hits, including “Bye, Bye Love,” “Mustang Sally,” “Stand By Me,” “What’d I Say,” and many more.

Band members include keyboardist Lionel Caynon, vocalists Bobbie and Mike Contino, and guitarists Dave Stewart and Gary Gaetano.

Bring a lawn chair, family, and friends. Food vendors will be on site. This free event is produced by the Arts Council of Macon County, and is funded by the Grassroots Arts Program of the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources.
