On Wednesday, Oct. 12, the Macon County Public Library will host a book signing with nature photographer James Valentine in the Program Room from 5 to 7 p.m.
James Valentine-Valentine is a naturalist, photographer, artist, and filmmaker whose work, including more than ten books, has helped to preserve millions of wild acres.
He donated his properties to the Highland Biological Station as a tribute to preserving one of the most biodiverse mountainous regions of the planet. His new book is “Southern Appalachian Celebration: In Praise of Ancient Mountains, Old-Growth Forest, & Wilderness.” Part of the proceeds from this book will be donated to the library.
