Three Eagles Oufitters is celebrating fall in the mountains with an Artists Market Fest Saturday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the store on the corner of 441S and Siler Road. Several talented artisans will be exhibiting their wares for sale offering unique gifts for the upcoming holiday season.
Crafts that will be available include pottery, basketry, Christmas ornaments, hand-crafted furniture, photography jewelry, handmade purses, sun catchers, cards stationery, handpainted items, glass art and more.
New to the Western North Carolina area is Lynn Margaret MacKenzie and her group of three potters offering beautiful handmade pottery. The glazes have exceptional earthy tones — some wood kiln fired
Sharon Keene has a big selection of handmade baskets all beautiful designs for many uses, even unique Christmas ornaments. Keene is “The Basket Queen” in Franklin and is dedicated to preserving the art of basketry. She has taught this skill to many in this area and currently teaches at The Methodist Church in Franklin.
Jeremy Ford is a professional timber framer and will show an assortment of his hand-crafted furniture, cutting boards and other kitchen items, to name a few. Also featured will be an eight-foot coffee table emphasizing his wood joinery.
Lewis Cain has been a photographer for almost 50 years and is looking forward to showing off his work.
Robin Parker, Millie Pejakovich and Margaret Jacobs will have an assortment of jewelry, handmade purses, sun catchers, ornaments, cards stationery and more.
Linda Barden’s photos can be seen framed or as stocking stuffer kitchen magnets.
Susan Allen and Fire and Light Studio will have glass art created by their students. And, if your get hungry while at the craft show, Andy of A & P concessions will have his mobile “Road Side Eats” on the premises with a great menu.
