The Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts will welcome two powerhouse performers, Guy Penrod and Lynda Randle, on Saturday, Nov. 19,at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 each.
Guy Penrod was a centerpiece and lead singer for Bill Gaither’s “Vocal Band” for 14 years and has recently recorded his first solo country album, “Breathe Deep.” This new collection of songs explores his strong values and deep roots in faith and family. It’s positive country music with Christian undertones.
Penrod has recorded with great artists such as Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, and Garth Brooks. He’s shared the stage with many Godly men and women, including Jerry Falwell, and has made many appearances on Music City Tonight. He’s traveled all over the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Africa sharing his dynamic voice and his love for music.
Lynda Randle is an award-winning gospel recording artist with a bottomless supply of enthusiasm that generates throughout audiences everywhere. She’s performed at numerous Billy and Franklin Graham Crusades, opened for the great Gladys Knight, shared the stage with evangelists such as Charles Stanley and Chuck Swindoll, and has toured fulltime with Bill and Gloria Gaither and Their Homecoming Friends for the past 13 years. She’s a celebrated author, the founder of “A Woman After God’s Own Heart” conferences, and has been featured on numerous radio and television shows, including “Extreme Home Makeover.” Randle draws her inspiration through her own life experiences, as well as from people who have influenced her over the years. She’s joyful and encouraging and her commitment to her ministry is infectious.
