Arts & Entertainment November activities at The Bascom

The Bascom has these offerings in November:

— Bascom Knitter’s (Highlands Knitting and Needlepoint Guild). Join the community of knitters and needle-workers who meet every Saturday through Nov. 26, 10 a.m. to 12 noon on The Terrace at The Bascom. Share advice, tips and knowledge. No charge.

— Giving Trees exhibition is a showcase of festive holiday trees created by local non-profit organizations. Giving Trees exhibition will run through Jan. 3. All Giving Trees donations will benefit the participating non-profit organizations.

— The Artists' Marketplace, on Nov. 25-26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring a gathering of artist tables in the Dave Drake Studio Barn, is the ideal place to find unique, affordable, one-of-akind artists' works for Christmas, hostess and New Year's gifts.

— Gingerbread House Workshop, Nov. 25, 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 26, 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Gingerbread designers will be given all the sweets and confections they need to create their own imaginative gingerbread house. Participants are invited to enter their creations in a contest, to be judges by a popular vote. The public is invited to cast their votes through Dec. 9, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The winners will be announced at 10 am on Saturday, Dec. 10. The public is invited.

The Bascom is open year-round - Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 12 noon to 5 p.m. Enjoy workshops, exhibitions, special events and quality programs throughout the year at The Bascom.
