The Weinberg-Babelay Sax & Vibes Duo will perform a program of jazz standards and modern works on Tuesday April 3, at 7:00 p.m., in the Franklin High School Chorus Room.
The program spans musical styles from Dixieland, Latin, and Swing, to contemporary pieces, including classics like “String of Pearls” and “When the Saints Go Marching In.”
Light refreshments will be served.
Vibraphonist Paul Babelay from North Texas State, and Weinberg from the University of Maryland. The duo will perform and teach master classes to Macon County public school music students Monday and Tuesday, April 2-3, through the Arts Council’s Artists-in-the-Schools Program.
Franklin High School is on business route 441, just north of the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce. The Chorus Room is on the ground floor of the Fine Arts Center. Admission is by donation.
