Arts & Entertainment 59th Annual Macon County Fair brings out the champions

Market Steer Show names its champions

For the second consecutive year, Kaitlyn Anderson was awarded the Grand Champion for her steer at the Macon County Fair.Reserve Champion was Sam Vinson’s steer, weighing in at 1,110 lbs.

Lloyd and Mike Swift preside over Rabbit Show since 1976

The Rabbit show has been judged by Lloyd and Mike Swift since 1976. The judging event was open to ages 10 and up. Presenters were asked to give a three minute oral presentation of one rabbit, including evaluation of conformation, markings, health and condition of the rabbit, fur condition, and optional brief history of the breed. Lamb Costume Show

First Grand Champion in the Lamb Costume show was Lindsay Owenby as Annie Oakley. Daniel Pickens as Waylon Jennings with Woollie Nelson was named Reserve Champion.
