Arts & Entertainment Classic rock concert on the square Sunday

Remnants, a four-member classic rock band, performs on the Franklin Town Square gazebo Sunday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m.

The band plays pop hits from the 1950s on, along with Southern rock and blues numbers, and features Chris Casses on guitar, Chris Corbin on sax, flute, and keyboard, Larry Hopkins on electric bass, and Connie Stiles on drums, with all members sharing the vocals.

Attendees should bring a lawn chair and a jacket. In case of rain, the concert will be held Sunday, Oct. 14.

This event is sponsored by the Arts Council of Macon County, with support from the Grassroots Arts Program of the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources.
