The Oak Ridge Boys, a widely-acclaimed award winning country music group, will be in concert at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $33 each.
With more than 30 top ten hits and over a dozen number one singles to their credit, The Oak Ridge Boys have one of the most distinctive and recognizable sounds in the music industry. Their four-part harmonies have earned them multiple Grammy, Dove, County Music Association (CMA), and Academy of Country Music (ACM) awards. They have produced 12 gold, three platinum, and one double platinum album throughout their career with hits such as “Elvira,” “Bobby Sue,” and “Fancy Free.”
Aside from the commitment to their music and fans, The Oak Ridge Boys are also involved in many philanthropic activities. They have served as spokesmen for the Boy Scouts of America, have helped build houses with Habitat for Humanity, and have supported many other efforts including the prevention of child abuse, child hunger, and the preservation of national forests. They have also performed at several domestic military bases and at the 2012 Republican National Convention.
