Arts & Entertainment Free arts and crafts for kids at ARTSaturday

Elementary school-aged children and their families are invited to a free ARTSaturday arts and crafts workshop on Oct. 13, 10:00-noon, in the Children’s Area of the Macon County Public Library. The children will create take-home projects made from natural materials. Keyboardist Lionel Caynon provides live music. There’s no pre-registration; children should wear play clothes and come for any part of the session. Adults stay and work with their younger children.

The Library is off Siler Road in Franklin, adjacent to Southwestern Community College. The Arts Council presents ARTSaturday workshops at the Library the second Saturday of the month. The series is supported by the Grassroots Arts Program of the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources. For details visit www.artscouncilofmacon.org or phone (828)524-7683.
