Arts & Entertainment Illusionist Brock Gill brings unique show to Smoky center

Brock Gill Forget what you know about illusionists: no cheesy tuxedos, no rabbits to pull out of hats. Brock Gill leads a new generation of edgy, daring illusionists, amazing audiences with his unique stage show, dry wit, and mind-blowing escapes. He will appear at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Feb. 25. While working at a saw mill in 1997, Gill felt that God wanted him to use illusions, escapes, and stunts to bring a message of hope to people. “It didn’t make any sense,” Gill admits, “but I felt like it was what God was calling me to do.”

Gill has shared the stage with many well known speakers, worship leaders, and artists such as Franklin Graham, John Piper, David Nasser, Adrian Rogers, John Bisagno, Relient K, Sonic Flood, Toby Mac, Audio Adrenaline, Third Day, Jaci Velasquez, Pillar, Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, and others.

He has performed for such organizations as BigStuf Camps, Student Life, In Quest, and on tours such as Winter Jam, Livin’ It with Stephen Baldwin, and Christ in Youth’s Believe Tour. He has appeared on multiple television programs like The Harvest Show, At Home Live, and Fox News Channel’s Fox and Friends, and in numerous other media outlets including passageway.com, Crosswalk. com, On Course Magazine, Baptist Standard, Christian Single, and radio programs across the country.

Tickets for this show are $15 each and are now on sale at the Center box office at 1028 Georgia Road in Franklin, at Dalton’s Christian Bookstore in Franklin and Waynesville, and online at GreatMountain- Music.com, or call (866)273.4615.
