A Poetry Alive presentation was held at the Macon County Public Library and some area schools this week. Ken and Nadine Delano made poetry come alive by acting out Nursery Rhymes and involving students.
Based in Asheville, Poetry Alive! performs to 600,000 students each year, appearing in all 50 states and many foreign countries. The Delanos recently performed in Istanbul, Turkey.
The show was made possible by through the Arts Council's Artist in the Schools program which is sponsored by a partnership of the Board of Education and the Arts Council.
