Arts & Entertainment We the Kings, Ryan Cabrera at WCU March 17

We the Kings will perform in concert with special guest Ryan Cabrera at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17, in the A.K. Hinds University Center Grandroom on the campus of Western Carolina University.

The concert is sponsored by WCU’s Last Minute Productions, a student-run entertainment and activity planning organization at WCU.

“We chose those two artists because at Last Minute Productions, we feel that variety is key, and we feel that these artists appeal to the community at WCU,” said Mary Finley, LMP multimedia coordinator.

We the Kings is an alternative rock band from Bradenton, Fla. The band’s song “Check Yes Juliet” has been on the Billboard Hot 100. Cabrera is a pop-rock musician from Los Angeles whose album “Take It All Away” went gold.

The Grandroom is located on the third floor of the University Center. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for the general public and $5 for students and will be sold at the door.
