Arts & Entertainment Selected teachers win hardback copies of Lewis Carroll's famous books

Photo by Brittney ParkerIn conjunction with the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts’ “Alice in Wonderland Musical,” the Macon County Public Library held a drawing for participating teachers to win a hardback edition of Lewis Carroll's “Alice in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass” books.

After completing a survey regarding the students' experiences at the play, teachers were entered into a drawing.

Maggie Kennedy with the library, dressed as Alice in Wonderland, visited the winning classrooms to present them with their book.

Winners included Pam Turner at South Macon, Jessica McConnell at Iotla Valley, Lynn Hopkins at East Franklin (pictured with her class) and Sherri Houston at Franklin High School.
