Macon County resident Lara Chew will present an hour-long program on the old timey days in Macon County Saturday, May 18, at 12 noon at the Rickman Store.
Chew’s recollections of her grandmother will take us back to the times when the arrival of the railroad shaped a new way the life in the mountains in the 1800s.
Rickman Store is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is located in the heart of the Cowee-West's Mill Historic District. 259 Cowee Creek Road, seven miles north of Franklin by Hwy NC28. Parking is available at Cowee School.
