Arts & Entertainment Seniors put on a show at Silver Arts Follies

The Carolines did not compete but performed “Another Opening, Another Show.”The Macon County Senior Games Silver Arts Division put on a show last Friday night at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts.

Fred Haller welcomed the crowd and Hal Chapman emceed the event.

Performers could opt to compete for the medals or simply for fun.

Gold Medal winner was RonSchott for his saxophone solo, “Misty.”

Lorie Meservey won the Silver Medal for “Finlandia,” and the Bronze went to The Jim Bob Duo — Jim Hite and Bob Blanton — for “Bye Bye Love.”

Harry Miller sang “Just for Today.”Beverly Barnett sang “Diamonds Are a Girls’ Best Friend.”Mary Ann Kinsey delivered a rendition of Uncle Remus’ “Tar Baby”Mary Kay Sullivan performed with the Jim Bob Duo singing “Elvira.”Gold Medal winner Ron Schott played the saxophone; Silver Medalist Lorie Meservey performed “Finlandia,” and The Jim Bob Duo won Bronze with “Bye, Bye, Love.”
