Arts & Entertainment Morgan James to sign her new book during StreetFest at Books Unlimited

Morgan James, author of "Quiet Killing" and "Quiet the Dead" will sign her new book "Sing Me an Old Song" during StreetFest on Friday, Sept. 27, from 5 to 8 p.m.

"Sing Me an Old Song" is the tale of Mavis Banks Book, a ghost who returns to her beloved Atlanta home ten years after her funeral and Niki Banks and Jack Rainwater, roommates in Mavis’ house and a large dog that appears during a terrifying thunderstorm. All four are offered a chance, a last chance, and it will take a friend with a fondness for vodka martinis to take a risk for each to accept that chance.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, authors Karen Spears Zacharias and Ann Hite will appear at Books Unlimited from 12 to 2 p.m.

Zacharias will present her new novel "Mother of Rain." When Maize Hurd arrived in the rural mountain community of Christian Bend she began hearing the voices that would torment her the rest of her life. As her husband, Zeb, prepares to deploy to Europe during WWII, Maize can't silence the demons. The voices have returned with a vengeance and a plan.

Ann Hite, author of "Ghost on Black Mountain," returns to the Depression-era South with her new novel, "The Storycatcher." From the saltwater marshes of Georgia to beautiful Black Mountain, N.C., a mesmerizing gothic tale about the dark family secrets that come back to haunt us.
