Arts & Entertainment Local authors to sign books at PumpkinFest

Barbara McRae (L) and Cherry Jackson (R)The newest addition to Arcadia Publishing’s popular Images of America series is “Franklin” by local authors Barbara McRae and Cherry Jackson.

McRae and Jackson share a long-standing interest in the community. McRae retired as editor of The Franklin Press and has published eight works of local history and genealogy. Jackson is a former executive director of the Macon County Historical Museum. Many of the photographs in Franklin come from the museum’s rich collection.

Join the Authors for a book signing at Books Unlimited, 60 East Main Street, Franklin, on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The authors are donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book to the Macon County Historical Museum.
