Louis-Virie Blanche will be performing on Friday, July 4, 8 to 10 p.m., at Rathskeller, 58 Stewart St., Franklin.
Blanche is a North Carolina born, world traveled Cherokee, with Choctaw, Blackfoot, and French Creole heritage.
His recordings feature numerous Grammy Award winners and nominees, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members.
The music he writes, sings, and produces is a mixture of styles including Cherokee, Creole, Reggae, Rock, Blues, Folk, Country, Jazz, and Pop.
He's famed for being the first Native American artist to play Jamaica's world renowned Reggae Sunsplash festival.
