Short films created by Western Carolina University students will be featured at WCU’s third annual Controlled Chaos Film Festival on Wednesday, April 27, in WCU’s Fine and Performing Arts Center.
The festival begins at 7 p.m. and will feature short pieces from documentaries to TV spots as well as three senior project films written, directed and produced by student filmmakers from the motion picture and television production program. All of the narrative films feature members of the WCU theatre arts and musical theatre programs.
“The festival is a showcase for the best work produced by students in the motion picture and television production program over the past year,” said Jack Sholder, professor and director of the program, which is the event sponsor and part of WCU Department of Stage and Screen.
Admission to the film festival is $5 at the door. Proceeds and donations benefit the Motion Picture Student Project Fund. For more information, contact Sholder at 828-227- 2324 and This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
