The Franklin Garden Club, in cooperation with the Macon County Fair Board, is holding its annual flower show at the 58th Annual Macon County Fair. The flower show opened to the public starting at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 14, and continues through Sunday, Sept. 19. The show is located in Building D of the Wayne Proffitt Agricultural Center, formerly known as the Macon County Fairgrounds, on South Georgia Road (Hwy. 441.)
Both full-time and seasonal residents of Macon County are exhibiting flowers and plants at the show.
“We encourage multiple entries, but exhibitors could enter only one item in each of the over 70 subdivisions of 12 classes” said Jeanne Vaughters, president of the Franklin Garden Club.
