Underhill Rose will be performing as a part of Matt Stillwell’s Shinefest on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m. at Fontana Village Resort. The band has just released their self-titled, debut CD featuring a powerful fusion of Americana, blue grass, R&B, and roots music.
Spotlighting unique fusion the Asheville, N.C. band has become known for, the album exhibits an impressive blend of Americana, blue grass, R&B, and roots music. Underhill Rose features compositions from Eleanor Underhill, a banjo picker with a sultry, smoky voice and Molly Rose, the group’s southern belle with a soaring vocal range and a masterful poetic design. The new album features bass player Gary Oliver and drummer Tim Haney, with guest appearances from Aaron “Woody” Wood, Ryan Burns, Spencer Taylor, Amy Lovinger, Melissa Hyman, among others.
