A free workshop for owners of small businesses, “Navigating the Federal Grants Process,” will be offered Thursday, June 26, at Western Carolina University’s instructional site at Biltmore Park Town Square in Asheville.
The workshop is being sponsored by the N.C. Small Business and Technology Development Center and the Center for Rapid Product Realization at WCU’s Kimmel School of Construction Management and Technology.
A general session will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m., and one-on-one sessions will be offered to small business owners from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Participants will be provided an overview of the Federal Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer grants programs, and also a review of the 11 federal agencies with those programs and how each differs in interests and expectations.
The deadline to register for the workshop is Friday, June 20. A registration form is available on the event website, which can be accessed by visiting kimmel.wcu.edu and clicking on the link for the Center for Rapid Product Realization.
