Sylva student wins laptop from Drake

Grand-prize winner for attending Southwestern Community College’s Career Success Seminars is outdoor leadership student Rick Snider of Sylva. Snider won a Lenovo laptop donated by Drake Enterprises of Franklin.

Recently inducted into Alpha Beta Gamma international business honor society, Snider attended three of the campus-wide career success seminars, a requirement to be eligible for the drawing.

Seminars included how to dress for and conduct an interview, dining etiquette, transferring seamlessly to a university and finding the dream job.

In addition, a community-wide Job Fair was part of the Career Success program.
