The Franklin Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting introducing PNC Bank to Franklin. Located at 100 West Main Street, in Franklin, the bank was formerly RBC.
The RBC to PNC conversion took place in early March. PNC Bank originated in Pennsylvania and is one of the largest banks in the United States, based on deposits and by branches. PNC Bank is ranked among the top small business lenders.





After 55 years of operating on Main Street, People’s will be closing it’s doors in January.
With less than a dozen weeks to get all the Christmas shopping done, shopping locally is more convenient than ever before. The hottest ticket items during the Christmas season, and the most sought after types of gifts typically fall under the electronics category. Children always want the newest phone or computer gadgets, dads always want that perfect TV to watch the game and women always enjoy the newest tablet to get lost in a magazine or watch a movie with candles by the bathtub.
After Books Unlimited fell victim to Franklin’s mob last weekend and chose to ‘pay it forward’ by donating books to Read2Me, Nancy Paris of Peoples (L) and Suzanne Harouff of Books Unlimited drew the next Cash Mob recipient.
