Features Health & Wellness ‘Blessing of the Hospice Tree’ set for November 30 at AMC

Angel Medical Center invites the community to join with them for the “Blessing of the Hospice Tree” on Wednesday, Nov. 30. The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. in the main lobby of Angel Medical Center located at 120 Riverview Street in downtown Franklin.

“This is the one of the newer holiday traditions for Angel Medical Center,” said Bonnie Peggs, Director of Marketing & Public Relations. “Each year the Hospice Tree is placed in our main lobby area and decorated with very special ornaments that are for sale. Following the blessing ceremony, these ornaments will be available for purchase.” Ornaments are $5 each and 100 percent of the sales go toward hospice patient services at Angel Medical Center.

Angel Hospice can give hope in a time where there is none. “Our devoted hospice team walks with the terminally ill and their families throughout this sacred journey,” said Peggs.

The Angel Hospice staff is comprised of nine staff, including the Hospice Medical Director, Dr. Dewhurst, and 27 hospice volunteers.

For information contact Jean Sprinkle, Director of Angel Hospice at (828)369-4206.
