The employees of Macon County Public Health participated in “Dress in Blue Day” on Friday, March 4. Dress in Blue Day is a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about colorectal cancer.

According to North Carolina Central Cancer Registry, it was predicted that Macon County would have 14 new cases of colorectal cancer diagnosed in 2011 and 5 deaths due to colorectal cancer.
