Features Health & Wellness LNO program to explore the benefits of stress-relieving laughter

Door prize winners for Ladies Night Out in November at the 4 p.m. meeting: Judith Nemecek, Betty Floyd, Ginger Phythyon, Susan Testa, Kathy Stamey, Barbara Grindstaff, Mary Corbin, and Leona McMahan.At the upcoming Dec. 10, Ladies Night Out Program at Angel Medical Center, the topic will be Stress and Depression. Guest speaker will be Cindy Miles, certified Laughter Yoga Teacher. Stress causes many illnesses in today’s world. Women are often caught up in many depressing and stressful situations that influence our mindset and affect our behavior and performance. Laughter helps to unwind the harmful effects of stress and can change your mood within minutes. Join Ladies Night Out this month to learn more about this important topic.

Ladies Night Out is a partnership between Macon County Public Health and Angel Medical Center to provide free monthly programs on a variety of health topics for women with an emphasis on the importance of regular health screenings. The Franklin Bi-Lo and Fatz of Franklin are corporate sponsors of the programs and provide snacks and door prizes each month. Dodge Packaging Specialties, Inc. provides paper products and Indian Hills Spring Water provides bottled water.

Door prize winners for Ladies Night Out in November at the 6:30 p.m. meeting: Evanell Jenkins, Sallie Wooten, Chanel McMurrian, Kiaira Dawson, Tynia Fowler, Phyllis Jones, Barbara Fletcher, and Carol Ferraro.This program will be held twice on this date in the cafeteria at AMC. One will be at 4 p.m. and one will be at 6:30 p.m. The same presentation will be given at both meetings. All women are invited to attend one of these meetings and are asked to encourage all the women in their life, who are over the age of 13 years, to attend with them.
