The Franklin Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting at Makin’ Pizza for the original owners of Big Mama’s Pizza House and Main Street Pizzeria. Joe, Brandon, Bill and Joan Hatch are back and tossing it up at Makin’ Pizza, still located at 409 Depot Street.

“We offer homemade, hand tossed pizza with my special sauce and your choice of toppings. We also offer deep fried wings with your favorite sauce, appetizers, subs, wraps, salads, stromboli, calzones and more. Come in for lunch or dinner and enjoy great food and quick service. We are open and ready to serve our community,” said Joe.

Makin’ Pizza is open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. In a hurry? Call in your order at (828)369-1302 and it will be ready for eat in or take out. Delivery is available to businesses, churches and civic groups.

The Franklin Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome the addition of three new owners of RE/MAX Elite Realty with a ribbon cutting celebration. RE/MAX Elite Realty is located at 1296 E. Main Street.

This well-known real estate franchise recently announced it is partly under new ownership. Ron Winecoff, who previously co-owned the franchise, is now joined by three additional co-owners Teresa Murray, Becky Ramey and June Tassillo.

Together, Winecoff, Murray, Ramey and Tassillo have more than 34 years of combined local real estate experience.

Macon Bank recently presented a check for $20,000 to Angel Medical Center to be used for their new cancer center. The donation is to be dispersed over a three-year period.

“Macon Bank has always given back to the communities we serve,” said Plemens. “To have a vital cancer center located right here in Franklin, it will give so many people here and in our surrounding areas access to care. That is why we are proud to commit to a donation of $20,000 over the next three years to Angel Medical Center.”
