Southwestern Community College is holding its 21st annual Job Fair on the Jackson campus Thursday, March 26 for students, alumni and members of the community to connect with employers in the area.

“Our Job Fair is well-organized and it attracts many employers and job seekers,” said Patty Kirkley, Career Planning and Placement Counselor at Southwestern Community College.

This recruiting event is designed to provide employers with an opportunity to inform job fair participants about their organizations, personnel needs and career paths. Southwestern invites all students, alumni and community members interested in internships, co-ops, part-time and full-time positions to attend.

The State Employees Association of North Carolina will offer a total of 47 annual scholarships in 2015 for active SEANC members, their spouses and independent children.

Scholarships also will be awarded by SEANC District 1, which includes Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Swain, Jackson and Macon counties. This year a deadline has been established for the first membership dues payment to be received in the SEANC Central Office by April 15. This will be a requirement in order for the member to be in good standing.
