Cartoogechaye's Junior Girl Scout Troop 142 planted more than 200 daffodil and tulip bulbs at Wesley's playground. Troop 142 wanted to donate and plant at least 100 bulbs to recognize each Macon County child that receive services at KIDS Place. The Girl Scouts are completing the requirements for the My Community badge. Two of the requirements of the My Community badge were to beautify a recreational community and to learn about a community service agency. Girl Scouts, parents, and friends planted the bulbs at Wesley's playground on Saturday, Dec. 16. Kay Coriell of the Friends of the Greenway (FROGs) helped coordinate the event. Co-leaders of troop 142 are Jo Ann Cope and Deanne Oppermann.
