The author of “Jump, Damn It, Jump! Memoir of a Downed B-17 Pilot in World War II” will speak at the Macon County Aviation Historical Society Tuesday, Nov. 17. Edward F. “Ted” Logan was on his 34th mission with the 15th Air Force when his Flying Fortress was so damaged that all 10 crewmembers bailed out. Aided by Slovenian partisans, Logan and his crew evaded the German troops and returned safely to their base. The free program is open to the public.
