News Jackson County officials seek help in identifying suspects in recent burglaries

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to identify a man and woman captured on a video surveillance camera at an area business. The man and woman are considered persons of interest in a burglary which occurred recently in Dillsboro. The individuals shown in video still images released by the JCSO were in the Dillsboro area on or about Dec. 4, 2010.

According to Sgt. John Buchanan, several burglary cases currently under investigation in Jackson County may be related. Details of these cases will not be released until investigators have gained more information about the possible suspects in the case.

Anyone with information as to the identity of the individuals in the images, a vehicle description or a current location associated with them is urged to contact Sgt. Buchanan at (828)631-1131. In addition, anyone having information as to the identity of those responsible for any residential and commercial property crimes or the location of stolen property is urged to contact Crimestoppers at (828)631-1125. A reward is being offered by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Crimestoppers program for information associated with recent property crimes.
