News Jackson Couny hit by rash of residential burglaries

Authorities capture two suspects, still seeking three others

Four individuals have been charged by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office for numerous December larceny and breaking and entering crimes. Authorities believe the crimes are all related. Two of the suspects have since been arrested and have made bail, but two others are wanted for arrest while one additional subject is wanted for questioning in regard to similar burglaries.

Chisum Landon Wilson, 30, of Rebel Lane in Clyde, N.C., was arrested on Dec. 22, and charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny and two counts of felony possession of stolen property. He was arrested and held at the Jackson County Detention Center. Wilson has been released on a $20,000 bond.

Thomas Kirk Beck, 40, last known to be on Utah Mountain Road in Waynesville, N.C., has been charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny and two counts of felony possession of stolen property. Beck was also arrested and held in Jackson County custody, and has been released on a $20,000 bond.

Joshua Allen Haynes, 21, last known to be on Estes Drive in Waynesville, N.C., is wanted for two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny and two counts of felony possession of stolen property.

Ira David Jones, 59, last known to be on Rockwood Road in Canton, N.C., is wanted for two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny and two counts of felony possession of stolen property

Thomas Kirk Beck, 40, last known to be on Utah Mountain Road in Waynesville, N.C., is wanted for two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny and two counts of felony possession of stolen property.

Additional charges are expected to be filed as the investigation continues.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Crimestoppers is also offering a reward for information leading to the apprehension of Phillip Carl Henson, 45, last known to be in the area of the Cherokee Indian Reservation. Henson is wanted for felony breaking and entering and larceny.

A reward is also being offered to anyone having information regarding recent residential property crimes with an emphasis on stolen electronics.
