The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any suspect involved in a recent string of vehicle break-ins and related larcenies in Jackson County.
Areas that were primarily targeted were in the Savannah Community.
Additionally, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any suspect involved in larcenies from residential homes. Primarily thieves targeted the outer lying Sylva area, Ochre Hill, Monteith Branch, Savannah, Piney Mountain and Barker’s Creek.
Previously arrested on 01/08/2012 for property related crimes were the following persons:
Craig Dwayne Apperson, 35, of Squeak Valley Road, Sylva, NC., was charged with conspiracy to commit felony larceny, misdemeanor injury to personal property, felony breaking or entering a motor vehicle, felony larceny, and felony posession of stolen goods/property.
Charged along with Apperson was:
Samuel Eugene Shirley Jr., 31, of Shepards Creek Road, Bryson City, NC. He was charged with felony breaking or entering a motor vehicle, felony larceny, posession of stolen goods/property, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, and misdeamenor injury to real property.
Both Apperson and Shirley have been released after posting bond and have a Jan 24 initial court date.
