On January 23, 2012, deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested two suspects and charged them with multiple charges after determining they had in their possession stolen items from a construction site in Waynesville and stolen items from the HUB (Jackson County School of Alternatives). Reports were filed on Monday morning about a breaking and entering and larceny that had occurred over the weekend at the HUB. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the suspects on the evening of January 23, 2012 and found items that were stolen from the two mentioned locations.
Travis Wayne Fisher, 27, of Norman Drive, Sylva, NC., was charged with Possessing/Recovery Stolen Property from Construction Site, Possessing/ Concealing Stolen Property, Larceny After Break and Entering, Possessing/Recovery Stolen Property from Construction Site, Possessing/ Concealing Stolen Property, Breaking and Entering-Forcible. Currently held under a $20,000 secure bond.
Also arrested with Fisher was Richard Marcus Woody, 33, of Allen Street, Waynesville, NC., He was charged with: Possessing/Recovery Stolen Property from Construction Site,Possessing/Concealing Stolen Property. Held under a $6000 secure bond.
A request has been made to the District Attorney’s Office to increase this bond on Fisher due to the fact the he has multiple other pending charges in which he has been arrested on is out on bond.
