News Terry Bradley Retires after 25 years of service

The Town of Franklin hosted a retirement reception for Chief Terry Bradley last Friday.

After 25 years of service to Macon County, and 18 years as the Chief of Police for the Franklin Police Department, Bradley's last day on the job will be March 1.

Guest speakers Senior Agent Brian Hallman and Assistant Agent Mark Buchanon with the State Bureau of Investigation and Major Andy Shields with the Macon County Sheriff's Department commented on Bradley's outstanding service to the citizens of Macon County.

Boyce Deitz attended the reception on behalf of Congressman Heath Shuler's office. Deitz presented Bradley with a United States flag that was once flown on top of the capital building in Washington.

Captain Stephen Apel presented Bradley with his service weapon and badge to commemorate Bradley's tenure with the Franklin Police Department.
