Angel Medical Center in Franklin, North Carolina has announced that Sheila Gordon, has joined their staff as Director of Performance Improvement. Gordon comes to AMC from Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
“As Director of Performance Improvement, Sheila will be our facilitator and trainer as we pull the talents of the healthcare team together and create processes that ensure a superior patient experience at all areas of our system. We have the good fortune of a partnership with Mission Health System’s Performance Improvement Division. As a member of the Mission and Angel team she brings the best of all worlds to us, her personal experience in performance improvement and change management as well as the amazing Mission team,” said Sheila Price, AMC VP of Nursing.
Gordon served as Director of Clinical Effectiveness/ Nursing Administration when she was at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.
“Sheila’s expertise will be a great asset to AMC’s leadership team and will usher in a new era of The Big(ger) aim -to get every patient to the desired outcome, without harm, without waste and with a great experience, ” Price concluded.
During Gordon’s career she has served with the Baptist Health System, served seven years on the Board of Examiners for the Tennessee State Quality Award, and served six years on the Board of Examiners for the Baldridge National Quality Award. She has also been a frequent keynote speaker in state and regional professional and organizational, leadership development programs. Gordon stated, “I am privileged to serve Angel Medical Center with such excellent leaders and staff. The community and it’s people have been generous with their time and talent in orienting me.
