News Franklin man collides with tree on Hyatt Rd.

On Wednesday afternoon, Thomas Alderman, of Franklin, drove into a tree and claims the cause was due to another vehicle running a stop sign.

According to Alderman, he was coming from Wal-mart and came to a complete stop at a stop sign before continuing on Hyatt Rd.

Alderman stated that he had to speed up to get out of the way of another vehicle who ran the stop sign to Alderman's right.

After hitting gravel and plunging toward a ditch in front of the EMS Office, Alderman lost control of his 1986 Toyota Camper and hit a Holly Tree on Hyatt Rd.

No witness reported seeing another vehicle, resulting in no charges being filed at this time.

Alderman and his brother, Kent Alderman, who was also in the vehicle, were transported to Angel Medical Center.
