News Community Macon GOP joins Franklin chamber

The Macon County Republican Party had a new membership ribbon cutting at the Franklin Chamber of Commerce recently.

Among the numerous members who attended were Macon GOP Chairman Chris Murray, Vice-Chairman Jim Tate, Former NC Senator Bob Carpenter, Commissioners Brian McClellan, Kevin Corbin and Ron Haven, and Macon County School Board member Gary Shields.

Murray believes that joining the chamber represents a positive relationship with the business community while supporting the free enterprise and limited regulation position of the Republican Party.
