The Judy Moore Scholarship Endowment Committee has announced that two scholarships for $1,000 each have been awarded to Ashley Pennington-Tripp and Jessica Renee Dryman.
Awards are given for tuition, books, room and board and any other educational expenses to candidates who are enrolled in nursing degree programs.
Ashley is the wife of David Tripp and will graduate from the RN Program at Southwestern Community College in May 2012. She is interested in specializing in Women and Children’s Health issues. Jessica is the wife of Billy Brooks and daughter of Teresa Holbrooks and Dean Dryman. She is pursuing her BS in Nursing via Gardne-Webb University.
The endowment is affiliated with the North Carolina Community Foundation and was established in memory of Judy Moore RN who through her devotion to the nursing profession was an inspiration to fellow nurses, patients and leaders in the community.
