The Macon County 4-H Fashion Revue participants recently modeled their projects in front of a large audience. The judges, Genia Edmonds and Carol Messina commented on the excellent workmanship of the projects.
The County Champion is Chandon Ivey, who received a 4-H backpack and $20 for the guitar case he designed and sewed. The Reserve Champion is Emily Wylupek, who received a 4-H backpack and $15 for the pink tie-dye dress she sewed. Brianna Olsson received Honorable Mention, as she received a 4-H backpack and $10 for the white daisy design, cotton rayon dress she sewed. The monetary amounts were in the form of gift certificates from “Sew Creative.”
All the contestants received a gift bag, a 4-H certificate, and blue ribbons, including: Gabrianne Ivey (Off-White with Floral Print, Cotton Blend Dress), Lydia Wylupek (Red Dotted Swiss Nightgown), Hannah Cabe (Yellow Cotton Blend Skirt with White Cotton Top), Teighlor Hollanaathy Kuhlman, 4-H Agent, or Carol Pitts, Nutrition Program Assistant, EFNEP/4-H & Youth at (828)349-2046.
