Elementary school-aged children and their families are invited to the Arts Council’s free ARTSaturday workshop on Saturday, Aug. 13, 10 till noon, at Big Bear Shelter on the Little Tennessee River Greenway in Franklin.
During the two-hour workshop participants will learn basic dances from around the world and here at home. There’s no pre-registration; children should wear play clothes and come for any part of the session. Adults must stay with their children for this fun learning activity for the whole family.
Big Bear Shelter is adjacent to Wesley’s Playground, just across the river from the East Main Street McDonalds. The monthly ARTSaturday series is produced by the Arts Council of Macon County, and is supported by the Grassroots Arts Program of the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources.
