Highlands 10th Annual Christmas Day Dinner will spend its second year in its new home, The Hudson House at Highlands Country Club. Despite the foot of snow, more than 175 hearty Highlanders made their way to the scrumptious feast.
The warmth and charm of the room partnered with the beautiful snow outside the big windows made for a perfect holiday setting. But most of all, everyone was able to sit in the same room, making Christmas for our “Highlands Family” a more intimate, caring and fun experience. It was like a family dinner without the work.
This amazing buffet will feature traditional holiday fare including turkey, ham, beef tenderloin, squash casserole, scalloped potatoes, sweet potato soufflé, Donna Wood’s famous dressing, sautéed green beans with red peppers, rolls, cranberry sauce, mixed green salad and a plethora of mouthwatering desserts. Highlands’ finest chefs Marty Rosenfield, Holly Roberts, and Martha Porter prepare this meal for all to enjoy.
The cost is $35 for adults, $15 for children under 11, and children younger than 5 eat free. All proceeds go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Highlands and R.E.A.C.H. of Macon County, two local nonprofits. Christmas is a time of giving and sharing, so call Rick Siegel today for reservations at (828)526-5102 The dinner is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by reservation only.
