Franklin's first 2011 baby

Franklin’s first baby of the year didn’t arrive just after midnight on January 1. She had her parents, Jesus Chavez and Ana Solis, waiting just a little longer.

Jayla Chavez Solis was born at Angel Medical Center on Monday, January 3, at 7:53 a.m. Jayla weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Mom, Dad and baby were surrounded by family and friends as they welcomed the new year with a new baby.
