Children brought their smiles and laughter, and especially their wish lists, to meet Santa Claus and begin that one month wait ‘til Christmas Eve.
Following the lighting of the tree in downtown Highlands on Saturday night, Santa and Mrs. Claus made their way to the Highlands Visitor Center to a specially constructed covered shed. Children lined up for the opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap and make their wishes known.
Beneath the Santa suit, the smiling gentleman with a twinkle in his eye looked an awful lot like Highlands’ former mayor, Buck Trott.
